Writing "like an alien intent on some meticulous anthropological mission on Earth," Alexandra Kleeman has quickly become one of America's most talked-about new writers. And we can tell you from experience: The Kelly Writers House, on the campus of UPenn, is one of the better places in this city or any other to encounter a writer, be they reading, or in discussion, or both. Kleeman has been on a roll lately, having had a hit of sorts with last year's You Too Can Have A Body Like Mine (read an excerpt here) and a brand new collection of stories called Intimations (read one of them here). Both are impeccable.
