Slideshow: Portraits From Queen Of The Park At FDR Skatepark

PHOTOS BY RICH WEXLER | Earlier this month, folks got together for Queen of the Park, the 2nd annual girls skate competition at FDR Skatepark in South Philly. Billed as a “legendary day full of amazing lady shredders from all over,” the event featured shredding of all kinds. But Philly photographer Rich Wexler went a different way with his photos. Shooting on a Medium Format Yashica D, he chose to capture folks at the event in a straight-ahead portraiture/documentary style. The result: A gorgeous dose of that good ol’ Philly humanity.
