Based in Ardmore, PA, Saturnalia Books is a small poetry press that packs a punch, and over the years, they’ve amassed a roster of authors that’d be enviable to publishers three times their size. It stages but one big annual reading in Philly per year (barring special occasions) and for this outing at the gorgeous Philadelphia Art Alliance, the roster is impressive indeed. On offer/from their event notice:
CORTNEY LAMAR CHARLESTON, Cave Canem fellow and winner of the 2016 Saturnalia Books Poetry Prize selected by DA Powell for Telepathologies
ALLISON TITUS, author of the poetry collections, The True Book of Animal Homes (Saturnalia Books, 2017), Sum of Every Lost Ship, and a novel, The Arsonist’s Song Has Nothing to Do with Fire
STEPHANIE ROGERS, author of Plucking the Stinger (Saturnalia Books, 2016)
FRITZ WARD, recipient of the Cecil Hemley Memorial Prize from the Poetry Society of America and author of Tsunami Diorama
