Kikagaku Moyo / 幾何学模様's self-proclaimed genre is "feeling good music," and there's certainly no lie there. And what that means, really, is a pretty considered take on everything included in that headline above. There's plenty of bands in the world, believe it or not, who attempt to take on that sort of recipe, but usually, you can't hear it because they suck. These five Japanese gentlemen, on the other hand, seem to have a brilliant editor's hand when it comes to the succinct articulation of influence. And even when the mode is howling acidic psych, you get the sense that here are a handful of human beings really having a joyful thing with music itself. Which is supposed to be the whole point, right?
