Mark my words: As The Roots calcify into late night comfort (to say nothing of the fact that they haven't really lived here for a while now), Martha Graham Cracker will become — is already becoming — the Philadelphia entertainment outfit of record, the one we all agree on, the one who must be there when we need to say "THIS IS A PHILLY PARTY." How it came to pass that a pretty solidly genius avant-garde theatre artist accidentally turned into the preferred interpreter of the hopes and dreams and inner monologue of Philly's essence is a very long story for another time. But tonight, Martha slides into her 11th year of, well. being Martha at her usual perch: L'Etage, above Beau Monde, at 6th and Bainbridge.
