BY JILLY MacDOWELL | Tune in to WFUZ, already nearly 100 episodes in, where Mixcloud personality Jerry Jamowski blows the dust off funk, R&B & obscure pop fossils and more recent goodies that fulfill the episode brief. All the while, Jerry keeps the party going with congenial hype and the occasional "Come on!" 

A fan-favorite recurring theme show is "Cover Story," with song versions both familiar and mind-blowing — a Turkish(?) cover of "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag" still resonates. The 4/20 show bubbled along with lifted cuts by Ike & Tina Turner, Roy Ayers (an artist Jerry "goes hard for") and Kid Cudi, plus movie interludes and not a few "focus puff" prompts from Jer. More recent themes: motorcycles, P-Funk, keyboards, and "townie rock."

The episode names/themes, the graphics, the cool but chummy vibe -- it's all cohesive. Grab your rainbow visor & cue up Episode #99, "Grown Folk," on Thurs, May 26, 9pm, "an extra long set of Cookout jams just the way your mom likes it."
