America learned a lot about the secret meaning of the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution when, in 1967, a group of thirty Black Panthers walked into the California statehouse carrying guns. Namely, like the rest of the Constitution, the 2nd Amendment was only crafted with white guys in mind.

That incident, and a slew of others, is captured in the PBS documentary Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution. On Tuesday, the Philadelphia Unemployment Project will be screening the two-hour film at its headquarters, on the 11th floor of 112 N. Broad Street. The screening, starting at 2 p.m. is the first in a series that PUP is hosting for Black History Month.
