Project HOME's Francis House Of Peace Provides Affordable Housing To Those In Need

This morning saw the opening of the Francis House of Peace, a nine-story building located in Chinatown that will be used as a retail space and, more importantly, provide 94 apartments for the formerly homeless and for low income/at risk of becoming homeless men and women. The 76,455 square foot residence will offer affordable housing to those who need it thanks to the tireless efforts of Project HOME and the Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation. The new apartments are the latest example of Project HOME's ongoing commitment to "alleviate the underlying causes of poverty, and to enable all of us to attain our fullest potential as individuals and as members of the broader society." Such objectives are ones that we should all be pursuing, or at the very least, helping others to achieve, so click here to leave a donation and help further their invaluable work.
